Before you start
Choose one figure and locate its exact pattern before opening or mixing all the pieces. The verified set makes angels, elves, nutcrackers, and trees, but the bead order and figure construction differ. Use the supplied pattern for counts, threading paths, branches, and connections; do not substitute a guessed sequence.
At the craft table
This is an adult craft kit with small beads and wire components. Keep loose parts away from young children and pets. An adult should handle trimming and any exposed wire ends, using the kit’s directions and a suitable tool.
Make it step by step
Choose and read one complete pattern
Read the selected figure’s instructions from beginning to end. Identify its start point, threading direction, joins, and top hanging loop. Set the other figure materials aside so similar pieces do not get mixed into this ornament.
Sort the pattern’s pieces
Place only the pieces called for by the chosen pattern in a small tray. Separate them by shape or role, then compare them with the instruction picture. If a needed part is missing or unclear, resolve that before threading rather than improvising a replacement.
Prepare the pipe cleaner as directed
Use the pipe cleaner identified for your figure and make its starting bend or stop only as the pattern directs. Keep enough length for the remaining joins and hanging loop. Do not trim it at the start, because the final length depends on the completed figure.
Thread the first pattern section
Add the first beads in the order shown, checking their orientation against the picture. Slide them together gently without forcing a hole over the wire. Pause at the first join or change in direction and verify the arrangement before continuing.
Complete the figure’s remaining sections
Continue through the supplied pattern one section at a time, including its arms, wings, branches, or other figure details where applicable. Make each connection exactly as directed. For an elf, fit its paper hat using the kit’s specified method rather than assuming a glue or fastening method.
Compare the assembled shape with the guide
Lay the figure beside the instruction picture and check the bead order, symmetry, and joins. Correct a misplaced piece by carefully reversing the relevant threading steps. Shape only the pipe-cleaner sections that the guide shows as bends.
Form the loop and finish the ends
Make the top loop to the size and method in the kit directions. Have an adult trim excess pipe cleaner with a suitable tool where the instructions call for it, then tuck or finish the wire ends as directed. Gently lift the ornament by its loop over the table to check that it stays assembled.
Make it your own
Finish one figure before opening a second pattern’s parts.
Take a quick look back at the pattern after every threading section.
Keep the full pipe-cleaner length until the figure and hanging loop are complete.
Common fixes
The figure does not match the picture.
Compare one section at a time with the supplied pattern. Reverse the threading carefully to the last correct section instead of forcing the wire into a guessed shape.
A bead will not slide onto the pipe cleaner.
Check that it is the correct piece and hole orientation for that step. Do not force or enlarge the hole; consult the kit directions or seller if the part still does not fit.
Finish & enjoy
Check every join and the hanging loop, then hang the figure from a stable indoor branch or hook. Pack individual ornaments separately so their shaped wire sections and paper elf hats are not crushed.
